¡Hola! I’m “La Maestra Julia”—language explorer, joyful catalyst, and master of real world Spanish. I founded Spanish Chatshow to ditch rigid drills and turn language learning into an unforgettable adventure.

 

    • Exploring: Stamped my passport across 17 Spanish-speaking countries (including a unforgettable college semester in San Sebastián) gathering local slang, secret recipes, and real life connections.
    • Teaching: Packed 25+ years of classroom magic and an M.A. in Language Acquisition (UNO) into custom programs for companies like Mutual of Omaha, Boys Town Pediatrics, Werner Enterprises, and Metropolitan Community College.
    • Creating: Authored 38 books (including the Spanish Chatbook series & Mini Chatbooks) and produced Un Tiempo para Sanar, an audio/video project for Latina breast cancer survivors.
    • Smiling: Turned my kitchen into a playground with my kids and their friends, producing 10 cooking shows for young chefs—because if you aren’t smiling, you aren’t learning!
